A master blacksmith allegedly trained at Palace of Versailles, Tijou was commissioned by William III of England in the late 17th century. His remarkable ironwork decorates the palace gates, staircases and interiors. Flowing scrolls, balanced symmetry and ornamental flourishes define these designs, where craftsmanship transforms structure into decoration.

This Jewel Garnet Ring reflects these influences through sculpted gold curves and a rich natural Garnet centre stone, bringing warmth, depth and movement to the piece. Created in partnership with Historic Royal Palaces.
